Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that his government delivered on the guarantee made to the ex-servicemen on ‘One Rank One Pension’ plan and it meant that the Center’s responsibility regarding the Indian Army.
He said almost Rs 8,500 crore have been conveyed under the plan, that had been stuck for about 40 years.
Tending to a rally here, Modi said no one inquired as to why the OROP plan couldn’t be acknowledged for such a long stretch.
“I had declared amid the Mandi rally that we will give OROP. Three installments have been given till now. Near Rs, 8,500 crores have been circulated,” he stated, referring to his rally in 2016.
Modi said the fourth installment will be sent soon. “I comprehend that this (amount) puts pressure on the government, however, our warriors are a need for me,” he said.
