facebook and Instagram users in a few parts of America, Europe, and Canada were unable to get sign up to their FB accounts on Wednesday as the social networking site came across technical problems.

“We’re conscious that some humans are presently having hassle having access to Facebook and Instagram. We’re running to get things back to initial stages as soon as possible,” an FB (FB, +0.64%) spokesperson informed Reuters.

earlier today, DownDetector.com, which observes outages, confirmed that there have been over 12,000 incidents of users reporting problems with the use of the website.

Fifty percent of the users complained having trouble logging in while 40% complained that they faced general blackout problems and the last 10% confronted problems with pictures, Downdetector stated on its website report
